THE ALL-NEW SURRON ULTRA BEE HAS ARRIVED

Surron, electric performance motorcycle manufacturer, revealed its latest e-bike in October last year: The 2023 Ultra Bee. Now, the all-new mid-size Ultra Bee is set to land in the UK, with the first units arriving in official Surron dealerships this week.

The latest model to join Surron’s lineup of e-bikes, the Ultra Bee is a mid-sized powerhouse that packs state-of-the-art technology and proven performance features into a newly-designed platform. Engineered with Surron’s experience gained from the widely popular Light Bee and full-size Storm Bee models, as well as racing accomplishments and developments across the globe, the all-new Ultra Bee is another milestone for the brand, once again redefining the electric off-road experience.

POWER-PACKED

At the heart of the Ultra Bee is Surron’s innovative 4th-generation powertrain system, uniquely designed for the Ultra Bee platform with a PMSM motor and full isolated electrical architecture for an interference-free ride. Combining a 74V/55AH battery pack with a 12.5KW / 440Nm torque drivetrain, the Ultra Bee delivers lightning-quick acceleration, precision lightweight handling and smooth power output – the kind of power that inspires complete rider confidence so limits can be pushed to the maximum.

To keep all that power under control, the Ultra Bee has three different riding modes – eco, daily and sport mode – as well as a reverse gear that can be easily selected via the ergonomic switch. The Sur-Ron Traction Control System (SRTC) is the latest multi-condition off-road traction control system developed by Surron that features three rider-selectable settings for even further control.

With a top speed of 56 mph, 0-30 mph in 2.3 seconds, and a maximum range of 87 miles on a full charge, as well as a maximum recharge time of only four hours, the Ultra Bee packs a mighty punch, supported by regenerative braking system to keep the lithium-ion battery topped up, and an ultra-light curb weight of only 85 kg. The Ultra Bee also features a hidden space under the seat, designed specifically for the charger, so riders can stop and charge anywhere they find a power outlet.

RACE-READY

The refined, race-inspired braking system on the Ultra Bee will boost stopping power on the trails, while the new fully adjustable off-road front and TR rear suspension offers a wider range of adjustability to suit various conditions alongside 240mm of travel on both front and rear, allowing riders to ride faster and jump farther than ever before.

STYLE-WITH-SUBSTANCE

Designed with Qiulong’s concept of “Balancing on the Cutting Edge” in mind, the Ultra Bee’s sturdy aluminium alloy forged frame and 50:50 front and rear counterweight distribution results in a weight of just 85 kg within a compact structure that lowers the centre of gravity for even more stability. The unique chassis design and steering bump stops also provide more protection from damage in the event of a fall.
